Project Group: “Increase employment of older workers”

The members of the “Increase employment of older workers” working party at their first meeting on 19.11. 2013 in the DHBW in Villingen-Schwenningen.

The aim of the working party is to develop measures to increase employment of older workers.  The members of the Skills Alliance in the Winner Region met at an initial ideas workshop in the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Villingen-Schwenningen on 19.11. 2013. After a lively exchange of views and discussion, the working party agreed on its first main emphasis: personnel development 50+.

The subject “personnel development 50+” covers possible areas of activity such as primary and vocational training of older people, sensitization of employers, senior management and HR executives, and the development of career models 50+. The measures are targeted at businesses with the aim of encouraging them to implement such models in their companies.

The working party meets to elaborate measures such as workshops, publicity campaigns or on-site consultations.

A first step was a survey of 6000 businesses in the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Chamber of Trade in the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg region in summer 2014.
